Operation Holiday Cheer

10/15/2007 - 9:00am
11/09/2007 - 3:00pm

The holiday season is a time for joy, a time for peace, a time for giving thanks for the gifts that we have been given. For Rhode Island's brave men and women serving abroad, and for their families sacrificing here at home, the holidays can make the time ven more difficult.

Orchard Farms Elementary School's Student Council is proud to join with Lt. Gov. Roberts as well as community and corporate sponsors in Operation Holiday Cheer which will give Rhode Island residents and businesses a chance to give back to the troops with care packages during the holidays.

Orchard Farms students will be asked from Monday, October 15th, to Friday, November 9th to bring in items to be donated for this cause. Orchard Farms Student Council members will be collecting the items in student's classrooms daily.

Please join us to make the holiday season brighter for our troops by contributing an item!

Thank you,
Orchard Farms Elementary School Student Council
