The Orchard Farms PTO is hosting a Lyme Disease workshop at 6pm on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009, in the Orchard Farms Elementary School Library.
This workshop is being presented by Julie Merolla, President of the RI Lyme Disease Association and Kim Perry, LICSW And RILDA member, to teach critical information about Lyme Disease.
We are welcoming parents, teachers, school nurses and anyone who just wants more information on this disease to the workshop.
Lyme Disease is a disease with symptoms which are simply going unnoticed and untreated. With the state and city budget cut backs, this type of information is just not being taught to the educators in our area. Many children are being diagnosed with ADHD or ADD and many are eventually coming up positive with Lyme Disease.
This is a workshop that should not be missed; Rhode Island is becoming a state of infestation. Please come and learn the signs and symptoms so that you can become more aware of the dangers and signs of the disease. If caught early, Lyme Disease can be fully treated.
