School Committee Budget Meeting

The Cranston School Committee will begin the process of hearing public comment and evaluating the proposed budget at their 7pm meeting on Wednesday, January 28th at Western Hills Middle School.
The Superintendent of Schools has submitted his proposal for the 2009/2010 school year to the School Committee.
The proposed list of programs and items to be eliminated includes:
- EPIC
- Elementary Strings
- Middle School Sports
- Summer Reading Program
- District Wide Text Books
- District Wide Library Books
- and more
These programs and items were not included in the budget as a part of next school year's curriculum.
Please come to this meeting to show your support for these programs and items. They are an important part of our childrens' education.
