Thanks to Paula Cardi who has agreed to oversee the new Parent Corps committee under the umbrella of Volunteer Connections! This Committee will form to assist in the lunchroom and or recess yards with the purpose of helping to keep an orderly but fun atmosphere. A parent can "adopt a day" on a loose schedule and spend some quality time volunteering! Two committee members have already joined, please contact pcardi@cox.net if you are interested- the committee will close at around 6 members.

Thanks to Melissa Tapley for coming forward to Chair our new After School Artist Exchange program! She is hoping to get it running in time for the second half of the year- calling all thesbians, artists and musicians!

Another great meeting last night! Over 30 parents were able to join us for updates and committee workshops. Hot cider and homemade baked goodies were enjoyed by all! Watch for blog updates to be posted by Monday by all of our Chairpersons- hopefully they will be a great way for everyone to stay informed. Our next meeting will be an afternoon session, first Wednesday of the month, Dec 1st 145 in the cafetaria. Join us for a cup of coffee and feel free to bring the little ones.

The curtains have been installed!

Tomorrow is the walkathon! There will be popsicles for all, but if your child needs a drink (they'll be walking for 1/2 hour) be sure to send it in!

Unfortunately NECAP testing started a little late causing it to overlap with our Spirit Week plans next week- We're thinking that Crazy Hair may be a little distracting! Soooo, we'll be working with Mr. Charpentier to reschedule the festivities. To be continued.... keep that hair spray handy.

Spirit Week will need to be postponed to a later date due to NECAP testing, which started a little late, and overlaps with our planned festivities.... we're thinking Crazy Hair may be a little bit distracting! Stay tuned, plans will be forthcoming.

Just a quick word of thanks to Steve Kostecke, a former Orchard Farms parent who was an important PTO member during his time with us. Steve created this awesome website for free! And even though his children haven't been at our school for some time, Steve has been kind enough to donate his time to answer the many questions we have had while learning how to operate this site. Thanks Steve!
